Welcome to the new school year! I hope you had an enjoyable summer and that you
are as excited as I am about the year ahead. Although students were away, the
District remained buzzing with activity over the last couple months. Special
thanks to our classified staff, teachers and leaders for work done over the
summer in preparation for the 2010-11 academic year ...
REGISTER NOW FOR ALL DAY KINDERGARTEN!
SPACE IS LIMITED!
CKSD is currently registering kindergarten students for the 2010-11 school year.
Tuition-based All Day Kindergarten (ADK) is planned for Brownsville,
Cottonwood, Emerald Heights, Green Mountain and PineCrest elementary schools.
Tuition-based programs require a minimum of 19 students per class. Tuition-free
ADK classes are planned for: Clear Creek, Cougar Valley, Esquire Hills, Jackson
Park and Woodlands elementary schools. Half Day Kindergarten will be
held at Cottonwood, Silverdale and Silver Ridge. For

NEW ONLINE PAYMENT SYSTEM
Central Kitsap School District families
can now pay online for some items, including yearbook, ASB card, parking permit
and other fees. This new system allows parent/guardians to view the history of a
student's activity in these areas. There will be a transaction fee of $1.75. To
use this system, you will need your student's ID number and access via this
website link,
https://touchbase.cksd.wednet.edu/. (Please note: This system does not allow
the payment of breakfast and lunch. There is another online system for those
