Question:  I am a current employee/substitute.  Do I have to submit an online application?  Will I need to resubmit supplemental materials (i.e., transcripts, resume, letters of reference, confidential reference forms, etc.)?

All Employees, Guest Teacher/Classified Substitutes:  If you wish to apply for an open position, you will need to complete the basic online application.  Human Resources will automatically process your supplemental materials (i.e., transcripts, resume, letters of reference, confidential reference forms, etc.).  NOTE:  If you do not have current confidential reference forms (dated within the past two years), they will not be processed and you will need to submit new forms.  Remember, it is in your best interest to have confidential reference forms that were submitted within the past year.

Question:  How can I find out about open positions?

Openings are posted on our website: www.cksd.wednet.edu under the Employment link.

Question:  When do you post your open positions?

We post newly-opened positions as they occur.  If you are actively seeking employment with CKSD, you are encouraged to check our web site daily.

Question:  If I apply for a position and another similar position occurs, will I automatically be considered for that second position?

No. You must apply for each position for which you are interested.

Question:  May I apply for more than one position?

Yes, you may apply for any open position for which you are qualified.

Question:  Can I submit an application but not apply for a job?

Yes, you can complete the online application in anticipation of future openings.  Your application remains active until we notify you.

Question:  How long will this application be active?  Do I have to redo it each time I apply for a job?

Your online application will be active until December 31st.  You will be contacted prior to that date to see if you wish to remain active for the following year.

You do not have to resubmit an online application for each job unless you are applying for a different category (i.e., classified, co-curricular, certificated, administrative, etc.).  However, some positions may require an additional questionnaire at the time you apply.

Question:  How do I un-apply for a position?

Log into your online application and select the “Un-apply” link from your application homepage.

Question:  How can I tell when the position closes?

The closing date is listed on the job posting.  To ensure your file is reviewed, you must apply to the position by this posted date.  Positions can be left “open until filled” at the District’s discretion.

Question:  What kind of qualifications do I need to work in the Central Kitsap School District?

Each position posting has a list of preferred and/or required qualifications needed to be eligible for that specific position.

Question:  How will I be notified regarding an interview?

You will be notified by telephone if you have been selected for an interview.
