1.  Electronic references

·     Two from current/former supervisors are required, if possible

·     References are included in future applications for two years; references cannot be deleted or replaced during this time

·     Reference section will remain “incomplete” until at least two responses are received

 

2.  Cover Letters

·     Submit one “General” letter for all positions, rather than individual letters for different positions

 

3.  Submitting Your Application

·     Complete a final review before submitting; once submitted, changes cannot be made

Criminal Background Check - New Employees:  Washington State Law requires that a criminal background check be performed on employees new or rehired to the District.  The check consists of fingerprints submitted to the Washington State Patrol and FBI.  Upon hire/rehire, those who do not have current fingerprint clearance through the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) must have a criminal background check completed at the Olympic Educational Service District before the first day of work.  This requirement also extends to current substitute employees who are hired into non-substitute positions.  The cost of the criminal background check is $68.50 and must by paid by the employee at the time fingerprints are taken, before the first day of work.  Fingerprint Authorization Form - for use after offer of employment
