Math Journal
- Have your child keep a math journal. He/she could write a math autobiography, explaining in his/her own words the meaning of mathematical communication, ratio, multiplication, etc. He/she could also write story problems or stories to accompany data you provide.
Time Line of Your Child's Life
- Your child can create a time line of his/her life. The time line could include important events, special memories, and future goals.
Pictures, Words, and/or Numbers
- Ask your child to solve a math problem and explain how he/she found the solution using pictures, words, and/or numbers.
