The Distinguished Reader Program encourages students in grades 6 through 12 to explore, appreciate, and read quality literature. The program is designed for students who would like to:

  • Have Fun
  • Read
  • Join the Reading Community
  • Be Recognized as a Reader

To meet the program's reading challenge, students need to complete a form that shows they met the following requirements:

  • Read the required number of books from recommended reading lists.
  • During the school year read 10 books.
  • Discuss each book read with your school librarian, teacher, or Kitsap Regional librarian and get their signature on program form.
  • Turn in signed form to your school librarian or Kitsap Regional librarian.

Be sure to choose a title that is appropriate for your level. If you're not sure, check with your teacher or librarian, first.
