Office of Teaching and Learning

The Office of Teaching and Learning provides leadership and support to all District schools. The office also coordinates a variety of district programs, including all day kindergarten, new WA State graduation requirements,  athletics and extra-curricular activities, the stadium and pool.

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION DIRECTOR

  • Provides leadership to elementary principals and schools
  • Coordinates All Day Kindergarten and early childhood education programs
  • Plans and implements district-wide programs to support learning for elementary-aged students
  • Oversees elementary student transfer and discipline programs
  • District liaison for elementary learning specialists and office managers

SECONDARY EDUCATION DIRECTOR

  • Provides leadership to secondary principals and schools, including all alternative programs
  • Provides support to the Career/Technical Office and Athletic Coordinator
  • District liaison for secondary counselors and office managers
  • Plans and implements state graduation requirements
  • Oversees secondary student retention and discipline programs

ATHLETIC COORDINATOR

  • Coordinates all elementary and secondary extra-curricular student athletics and activities
  • Provides leadership to the Olympic Aquatic Center and Silverdale Stadium staff
